Developing DB-Driven Websites

This workshop will get you up to speed with how to develop database driven websites. The focus will be on SQL based relational databases, but a short excursion will be made to introduce key-value stores that are becoming increasingly popular. Most of the examples will be based on SQLite and MySQL, but other RDBMS will also get the attention they deserve. Depending on the real world needs of the attendees we will cover topics like PDO, ORM's, schema design, SQL design patterns and query optimization in more or less detail. So bring your current database challenges along so that we can take a stab at them.
